Open plated through holes: Are they possible?

Generally, open plated through holes are possible through WEdirekt. If you order them through our Pooling option, please consider the following:

Open plated through holes which are located on the contour of WEdirekt orders will be milled by us during the final cutting process. This can lead to burring on your PCB. In rare cases, it is possible that the plated barrel can be separated from the hole. The risk bears the customer.

To make sure that the plated through holes will not get damaged, please select the option “Edge plating” in our configurator.

If you order open plated through holes through our Pooling option, please note that we will not print any UL marking on your PCB since due to this procedure there will be a copper clearance.
